What the reading explores

Arithmancy offers four entrances to the language of numbers: name, date, word and number. A digit keeps its theme while the question changes: expression, inner desire, presentation, life path or the symbol of a word. Read each section’s heading before connecting its interpretations.

This calculator’s method

Name: all letters, vowels and consonants separately. Date: day, month and year reduced separately. Preserve 11, 22 and 33; personal cycles always reduce to 1–9. Words and positive integers use the same reduction.

A step-by-step example

In Name, ANA gives expression 7, soul urge 2 and personality 5. In Number, 29 reduces to 11 and remains a master. Date combines the life path with personal cycles based on the local date shown in the reading; those cycles always reduce to 1–9.

Frequently asked questions

What if vowels or consonants are missing?
Each section is calculated separately. If a letter group is absent, soul urge or personality shows an explanation; the other valid results remain available.
Which name and letters should I enter?
Use the name you want to explore and keep the spelling consistent when comparing readings. Latin letters, accents, spaces, hyphens and apostrophes are accepted, up to 200 characters. Accents add no value; ñ becomes N, ß becomes SS, æ becomes AE and œ becomes OE. Changing letters can change the result.
Is a master number better than another number?
11, 22 and 33 are conventions in this system, not measures of personal worth. Their readings include possibilities and tensions, like single digits. Personal cycles, shadow and the pair table use 1–9.
Why do I get the same reading again?
Calculations and texts come from local catalogues. The same input, section and reference date produce the same result. The pauses accompany the reading but do not alter the calculation.
Can I keep the result and add notes?
Use Save reading once the result is complete. In My readings you can reopen it, add notes and download it as text. Data stays in this browser; use the library backup if you want to keep it when changing devices.
